Wow, what an awesome summer so far! I hope everyone else has enjoyed the weather and free time. I recently got back from a 3-day backpacking trip with Mr. Giroux. We were in an area of the Adirondacks up near Long and Tupper Lakes. We hiked about 25 miles along the Cold River/Seward Mountain area. Here are a couple pictures:
Here is Mr. Giroux packing things up on the second morning. We pitched the tent in the middle of the river on a huge boulder.
There was a great swimming hole where we camped. Here Mr. Giroux takes a dive off the rock.

This was taken at our camping spot on the second night. Throughout the Adirondacks there are little structures called Lean-tos that people can sleep in. Most come with a little picnic table like this one. Im still waiting on pictures from the bike trip, so check back. Bye for now.

Sounds fun. I wish I could do that but it probably won't happen. I am having fun this summer. I just got back from the Pocono races and I had so much fun. I got so many new things there.

Bonton guess what i have been doing this summer getting phone numbers for you with girls. lol jk jk i haven't been doing that so don't worry although it was tempting at one of the camps i went to i was so close to telling her about you i hope you are enjoying your summer. i know i am and i have been trying to help the enviroment more. guess what i did to help it instead of going a couple steps and throwing my soda bottle in the trash i walked over and through it in the garbage go me i am helping the enviroment i haven't really done more than thaat though but it is a start well see you in September expect a whole list of phone numbers and girls names. jk jk see you later buh bye.

i just got back from north carolina a few weeks ago and on august 14 i will be leaving to see my sister who lives in indiana. and i finally cut my hair! its a little bit below my chin and i am donating 16 inches of it.

That's great...assuming you meant recycling instead of garbage = ) You'd be proud of me as well. Today I passed on the Salvation Army and went for some designer clothes at JC Penny's. Glad you're enjoying your summer.
Wow Marky, you've been busy. I went to the Smokey Mountains in N. Carolina 2 summers ago. It was amazing. Thats great you donated your hair...it's for a good cause.

Yup, chances are that titmouse was banded by Cornell. It might even be one of the ones banded at our feeder.
