How many of you like fishing? Mr Rhoads brought a pretty scary virus to my attention. This virus, viral hemorrhagic septicemia (VHS), came from Europe and is killing a lot of different fish species throughout New York and other states. This is bad because most viruses only target a few closely-related species but this thing infects most fish species. As of right now there is no cure and it could be a huge problem later on. More information can be found here.

Hey Mr. Devoe!! so...i have been thinking about your book and i think that you should add a chapter in your book(or unless you already have one) about how we need to protect lands that will soon be turned into house developements and major sources of naturual stuff like oil. Anyway...I think that you should use Alaska as an example!! cause if people have a real life problem in front of them they might realize that someone needs to step up and take a stand before our world, as you know it, turns into a huge landfill of nothing. I just dont understand why humans, the "smartest living organisims on earth", cant even see problems that are punching them in the face!! i mean hello?...PUNCH BACK!! We are one the strongest living things!!! Use your brains!! If we dont do somthing no one will!

= ) Courtney, I wish everyone cared as much as you do. The rest of that chapter we did yesterday deals with exactly what you just wrote. I talked about Alaska a bunch too. Thanks for the suggestions.
